Greek term or phrase: μασουρίστρα
(3) η καρουλίστρα , η οποία ξετύλιγε την κλωστή από τον τσιλέ και την τύλιγε σε καρούλια και η (4) μασουρίστρα.

(having trouble understanding the difference between this and the καρουλίστρα [which I believe is the spooling machine?] - see previous question submission. I understand the two words to be synonyms?)

Μασουρίστρα is actually the same word as bobinoir. It could, however, be that μασουρίστρα is the simple hand-operated bobbin winder, while they use the foreign term for the imported bobbin winding machines. This is a guess and could be totally arbitrary.
