οριζόντια δοκός που τοποθετείται στο πάνω μέρος παραθύρου ή πόρτας, για να στηρίξει τον τοίχο πάνω από το άνοιγμα αυτό· ΦΡ. (μτφ.-εκφραστ.) αλλάζω (σε κάποιον) τα πρέκια
υποβάλλω (κάποιον) σε μεγάλη ταλαιπωρία.
[ΕΤΥΜ. < μεσν. πριέκιον {με έκκρουση τού -ί-). πιθ. < αρχ. πρίω (μρ τη
σημ. «σφίγγω, συνδέω»). Βλ. κ. πριόνι
