'Κλιμάκιο' in a military sense can mean 'echelon', 'detachment', and the 'boss' or 'head' of a military echelon or detachment is its commanding officer. |

Ρωτώντας δύο αξιωματικούς, η απάντηση που μου δόθηκε ήταν ότι εδώ πρόκειται για "προϊστάμενο κλιμάκιο" και όχι για κάποιον "προϊστάμενο κλιμακίου" (τέτοιος όρος δεν υφίσταται). Κάθε μονάδα υπάγεται σε κάποια άλλη που γι' αυτήν αποτελεί το προϊστάμενο κλιμάκιο της (χωρίς οι όροι μονάδα και κλιμάκιο να ταυτίζονται). π.χ. στον στρατό ξηράς η μεραρχία αποτελεί προϊστάμενο κλιμάκιο της ταξιαρχίας κτλ. |
