ε.νεοπεοσληφθείς= new employee(Br.)newly employed(Amer &.Br)
στ.ειδική καταχώρηση=special record keeping because you record data regularly

'Aρα:
NI(National-Insurance) stamps and special record keeping Booklet/Card for the newly-employed

Employed earners and their employers pay Class 1 contributions.
Class 1 contributions are earnings related and are made up of two elements:

•the employee's contribution (primary contribution)
•and the employer's contribution (secondary contribution)
An employee is liable to pay contributions if they:

•are aged 16 or over, and under State Pension age (currently 65 for men, 60 for women)
•earn more than the Earnings Threshold, (ET)
Employees pay contributions on all of their earnings above the ET. They pay at a main percentage rate on earnings up to the Upper Earnings Level (UEL) and at a lower percentage rate on all earnings above the UEL. Use this link to find the latest information on the rates.

An employer is liable to pay contributions on all their employee's earnings above the ET, if the employee

•is aged 16 or over, and
•earns more than the ET.

DMBM525040 - NICs: General: Class 2 and 3 loose National Insurance Stamps
Background
Between July 1948 and April 1992 Class 2 and 3 National Insurance contributions were made by buying special adhesive stamps from the Post Office and affixing them to official National Insurance Cards (CF1).

Only by affixing the stamps to a valid card and cancelling them by writing the date across the stamp did they become a paid contribution. These cards had to be exchanged for new ones on an annual basis at the appropriate government office. The rates of contributions payable also changed each year.

From 1992 the only methods of payment of these contributions available are either by Direct Debit (introduced in 1975) or quarterly billing.

Arrears Cards (CF14) were used to affix loose stamps to when the original cards (CF1) were no longer valid for issue i.e. after the end of the Contribution Year.
