Allspice Explanation: μοσχοπίπερο = μπαχάρι http://www.greekmasa.gr/index.php?option=com_content&task=vi... μπαχάρι = bahari = allspice = the spice used in stifado http://www.expatsingreece.com/ingredients/151-bahari I'd avoid using "Pimento". Having read various sources on the net, I agree that it isn't incorrect; but most people, like me, will confuse it with Pimiento. If you do a Google image-search for pimento, you'll see that most pictures are actually of the sweet pepper, not allspice. |
