German to Swedish translations [Non-PRO]
Electronics / Elect Eng / Multimeter
German term or phrase: hinter (den Fingerschutzkragen)

Formulated a bit different, but important is "bakom" (behind) the protective collar, and in Swedish "skyddskrage" is sufficient, see reference. The formal term is also "elektrisk stöt". I am inclined to agree with the Swedish user of the instrument, who thought that "under" is a wrong preposition in this context.

Another aspect of the translated sentence is the incorrect term "fingerskyddskanten", which could be interpreted as "fingerskyddets kant", edge of the finger protection. Depending on the design of the test probe you might find some edge closer to the probe tip (as in my reference, if you click on "Mer info"). "Fingerskyddskanten" is an incorrect direct translation of "Fingerschutzkragen", instead of the correct term "skyddskrage". For a qualified electrician there is no doubt at all what is intended, but for a first time user there might be.

Explanation:
