Borkenkäfer kommen weltweit und an allen Laub- und Nadelbäumen vor. Viele Arten befallen nur eine oder wenige Wirtsbaumarten, andere haben ein sehr breites Wirtsspektrum.

Encontré "escólitos", pero no estoy segura de que sea lo mismo.

agree  Pablo Cruz: yo lo estudié en la carrera como escolítidos, pero parece que ya cambió... :-) / la terminación -ido(s) debería evitarse ahora al no ser una familia, aunque esto es un poco según autor... Si te apetece dar la respuesta yo desde luego te la voto. Salud,
