Borkenkäfer kommen weltweit und an allen Laub- und Nadelbäumen vor. Viele Arten befallen nur eine oder wenige Wirtsbaumarten, andere haben ein sehr breites Wirtsspektrum.

Encontré "escólitos", pero no estoy segura de que sea lo mismo.

agree  MecduBois11: yo lo estudié en la carrera como escolítidos, pero parece que ya cambió... :-) / la terminación -ido(s) debería evitarse ahora al no ser una familia, aunque esto es un poco según autor... Si te apetece dar la respuesta yo desde luego te la voto. Salud,
