Estoy haciendo una traducción sobre tuberías de suministro de gas y agua y estoy con una frase a la que no consigo dar forma.

He aquí el contexto:
"Ein wichtiges Kriterium für die sandbettfreie Verlegung ist die Untersuchung der Standfestigkeit der Rohre im FNCT (Full Notch Creep-Test). In dem Test wird die Zugfestig keit einer Materialprobe bei erhöhten Temperaturen gemessen. Hierfür wird ein Versuchskörper umlaufend mit 10 % der Materialstärke eingekerbt und in einem temperierten Netzmittelbad auf Zug belastet."

La frase que me da problemas es la última. ¿Alguien que pueda ayudarme, por favor?

...se entallará/ se reducirá la espesor de la pared de la muestra en un 10% y se someterá a una prueba de tracción en un baño de agua termostatizada...
Mira también el documento .pdf sobre los ensayos de tracción en las tuberías de PE.
Hay varios tipos de ensayos, pero se trata siempre de reducir el espesor del material y someterlo a la prueba de tracción.
