Laptele integral de vaca poate fi introdus dupa împlinirea unui an de viata. Mai devreme de aceasta data este nepotrivit. Laptele de vaca cu continut redus de grasime sau degresat (smantanit) nu contine suficiente calorii si grasimi si nu trebuie dat copiilor mai mici de doi ani.
