As variedades cultivadas incluem ainda a dedaleira, a boca-de-leão e a calceolária, ou sapatinho-de-vênus. Algumas escrofulariáceas vivem como semiparasitas de outras plantas. A digitalina é extraída de um tipo de dedaleira. A escrofulária que dá nome à família é uma planta medicinal. Elfenspiegel pflegen (Nemesia hybrida) Der Elfenspiegel stammt ursprünglich aus dem südlichen Afrika. Er gehört zur Familie der Rachenblütler. Die einjährige Pflanze gibt es noch nicht sehr lange auf dem deutschen Markt. Sie ist ein wahres Blühwunder. Die weißen, gelben, orangen oder roten Blütendolden sehen in jedem Balkonkasten gut aus. Es gibt zahlreiche Sorten. Zwergwüchsige Exemplare bilden dichte Blütenpolster, buschig wachsende dagegen fallen durch ihre großen, trichterförmigen Blüten auf. Die Pflanzen wachsen sehr schnell und einfach zu runden, reich blühenden Blütenkugeln heran. |
