German term or phrase: Freistellung/Freisteller
Freistellung bedeutet in der Fotografie, in der Druckvorstufe und in der Computergrafik die Befreiung eines Motivs von einem störenden Hintergrund; die Maske zum Freistellen eines Bildes nennt man in der Fachsprache üblicherweise einen Freisteller. Auch in den Printmedien wird ein "freistehendes Objekt" ohne Textbezug auf derselben Seite als "Freisteller" bezeichnet. Oftmals wird dann im Folgetext darauf Bezug genommen.

La definizione è presa da Wikipedia ed è riportata in una brochure che illustra le linee guida di Corporate Design (segue la descrizione di come vanno realizzati annunci, manifesti, ecc. affinché siano conformi alle linee guida di CD).

"Die Freisteller können auf einem weissen oder farbigen Hintergrund eingesetzt werden. Es dürfen mehrere Freisteller innerhalb eines Plakates platziert werden.

Freisteller können ergänzend zu einem Bildmotiv eingesetzt werden. Die entsprechende Platzierung und die Grösse des Freistellers sind fest definiert."

C'è già un kudoz su questo termine in cui è stato proposto "immagine senza sfondo". Il senso è questo, ma mi chiedo se esista un termine più specifico, visto che nel testo si dice che "Freisteller können ergänzend zu einem Bildmotiv eingesetzt werden", per cui verrebbe fuori "le immagini senza sfondo possono essere inserite su uno sfondo).

Potrebbe andar bene anche un termine inglese, visto che nella grafica molti termini sono inglesi.
