Il contesto è il processo di determinazione del rumore sulla rete stradale svizzera. Nel passaggio che riporto di seguito vengono illustrati berevemente i passaggi del processo:

Die Lärmbelastungen werden als Beurteilungspegel Lr anhand von Berechnungen mit einem dreidimensionalen Modell unter Anwendung des ***Modellansatzes*** STL-86+ und auf der Grundlage einheitlicher Verkehrsgrundlagen ermittelt.
Die Modellprognosen sind anhand von Lärmmessungen auf ihre Plausibilität zu prüfen. Bei Abweichungen zwischen Modellprognosen und Messungen wird das Berechnungsmodell anhand von Korrekturen kalibriert. Die Korrekturen ermöglichen die Berücksichtigung orts- und situationsspezifischer Einflussfaktoren.

Il STL-86+ è un modello di calcolo. Tuttavia, in questo testo lo si definisce sempre "Modellansatz". Come renderlo?

STL-86+ is I presume a modification/update.

I don't see any need to describe it as a "modelling approach" - it's just a "model"
