Endlich hat er eine Partnerin gefunden, mit der er wieder lachen und der er voll vertrauen kann. Sie lässt ihn seine schmerzliche Vergangenheit vergessen und gibt ihm neue Lebenskraft und Energie. So wie der Frühling.

in questo contesto direi così, perché è vero che esiste il corrispondente modi di dire italiano, però lo si utilizza nel caso di un evento, un fatto che ti sconvolge la vita, mentre qui è la descrizione di una situazione esistenziale, di un modo di sentire continuativo. L'uomo in questione non sa più a cosa aggrapparsi.

Un uomo che aveva dovuto subire diverse delusioni e che infine aveva perso ogni speranza/sentiva di non avere più speranze.
