| Reference: più che un gioco di parole... Reference information: è una storpiatura del termine, anzi di più termini: Katharer (quelli della corrente religiosa) = Ketzer >> Katze. Perché i Catari erano ritenuti miscredenti (ereitci) e si pensava, erroneamente, che il loro nome derivasse da cattus... (vedi spiegazione sotto). Katzengold wird auch Ketzergold genannt Die volkstümliche Bezeichnung Katzengold erklärt sich dagegen durch den trügerischen Goldglanz des Minerals und hat sich aus der Bezeichnung Ketzergold entwickelt. Ursprünglich vom Namen der südfranzösischen Sekte der Katharer abgeleitet, wurde das Wort "Ketzer" als Bezeichnung für Glaubensabtrünnige auch für andere, nicht-religiös begründete Abweichungen und Verbrechen übertragen, darunter das Fälschen von Metall ("ketzern"). Aus der im Mittelalter verbreiteten falschen, volksetymologischen Ableitung der Katharer (lat. cathari) von dem Wort Katze (lat. cattus) heraus wurden die Ketzer mit Katzen in Verbindung gebracht und ihnen eine "katzenhaft" falsche Art unterstellt. Katzengold ist also Ketzergold im Sinne der Wortbedeutung "unechtes, falsches Gold" – ganz ähnlich, wie der noch heute verbreitete Katzentisch einen "unechten", nicht konformen Tisch an einer Festtafel bezeichnet. http://www.goldsilbershop.de/katzengold.html |
