Die Uhr zeigt zwei Minuten nach sechs. Wie immer. Irgendwann – Monate ist her, vielleicht auch Jahre – sind die Zeiger über der Tür stehen geblieben. Und niemand hat sie wieder in Bewegung gesetzt.

Si parla di malati terminali sottoposti ad alimentazione artificiale, per cui il tempo si è fermato. Il senso è chiaro, ma non so se l'espressione è una frase fatta o cos'altro. Forse vuol dire che l'orologio è posto sopra la porta? O è un modo di dire che non conosco - e di cui trovo poche occorrenze su google?
Ho il sospetto che la mia sia una domanda sciocca... ma non ne vengo a capo!

il mio dubbio era che si trattasse magari di una frase fatta che non conoscevo... ma avevo anche pensato sin dall'inizio, come dicevo nella richiesta d'aiuto, che significasse semplicemente :"le lancette (dell'orologio) sopra la porta si sono fermate". Grazie, comunque, per avermi chiarito le idee!
