Es ist besser, mit drei Sprüngen zum Ziel zu kommen, als sich mit einem das Bein zu brechen.

Da dieses Sprichwort aus Mali/Afrika kommt, müsste wohl eine offizielle französische Version existieren, da in Mali französisch gesprochen wird. Ich finde sie aber nirgends.
