Attention, je ne suis pas certain de la traduction en français, mais ce dont je suis certain, c'est que la réponse acceptée est totalement fausse.
Il s'agit en fait d'une compatibilité à deux directives européennes 94/9/EC et 99/92/EC, à caractère obligatoire depuis 07/03, concernant la protection contre les explosions.

En tout état de cause, ça va technologiquement bien au-delà d'un simple retrofit !

Pour les curieux, la Nicole a mis en ligne une des directives en français.
