Das Vorsatz ist "ein Doppelblatt, dessen eine Hälfte auf die Innenseite des vorderen [oder hinteren] Buchdeckels geklebt wird und dessen andere Hälfte beweglich bleibt". Die Verwendung des bestimmten Artikels "das" geht wohl darauf zurück, dass man bei selbigem Vorsatz auch von Vorsatzpapier oder Vorsatzblatt spricht. Da sowohl Papier, als auch Blatt vom Genus, also dem grammatischen Geschlecht, her neutral sind, passt eben auch der Artikel bei "das Vorsatz" wieder.
