German term or phrase: die sinnlich fassbare Welt
It's in a magazine article about brain research:
Im Gehirn arbeiten Milliarden von Nervenzellen ohne jede koordinierende Oberaufsicht in jeweils getrennten Arealen der Großhirnrinde an jeweils gesonderten Aufgaben – und vermitteln dennoch zusammenhängende Wahrnehmungen der sinnlich fassbaren Welt.

... coherent perceptions of the ???

I'm just out of good ideas. Thanks for any suggestions.

a coherent image of the materially perceptible world
Explanation:
though not sure that 'materially' does full justice to 'sinnlich'

OK, to avoid the repetition of \'perceive/perception/perceptible\':
\"coherent perceptions of the world as discerned/interpreted by the senses\"

Thanks to everyone for all your suggestions. All are quite viable, but wanting to keep "coherent perceptions" and avoid repetition, I went with "as discerned by the senses". Y'all keep up the good work now!

They are material and sensuously tangible. The history of philosophy has recorded many materialists who even believed that the world had been created by god ...

If I had to choose, I would choose "phenomonal world". But "world of perceptions" is also O.K.
