German term or phrase: Grenzenergie
This occurs in a description of a self-defense device. I have seen 'optimum energy' and 'maximum energy' and 'energy limit' all given as translations for Grenzenergie, and am wondering if anyone can confirm the best translation in the following contexts:

Thanks,
Mary

agree  Hans-Jochen Trost: it is "threshold energy" - not for chemistry processes but rather bullets or similarly used projectiles (e.g., from flare guns) piercing skin

Reference: threshold energy

Reference information:
The context is apparently projectiles, like bullets from guns. Here's a reference for that.
