German term or phrase: Arbeitsgewölbe

The term refers to a part of a 17th century blast furnace and is used in a voiceover to a documentary film about the history of the blast furnace. As the accompanying image show the blast furnace as it looks today, it's hard to make out which part of the ruin it is supposed to be referring to. The full sections of text where the term appears:

"Auf der Seite beim Bach ist das Arbeitsgewölbe, wo flüssiges Roheisen 250 Jahre lang abgestochen wurde."

"Das Arbeitsgewölbe mit abfließender Schlacke und einer Sandrinne für Eisen."

From what I understand, it must be the undersection of the blast furnace where the slag and pig iron each run off, is there a specific term for this part of the furnace in English?
