German term or phrase: Trefferleistung / Trefferkreis
I think and hope this is my last question on a legal dispute about a rifle not shooting straight.
The legal document also states how a rifle should be tested to see if it does shoot straight:

"Prüfmerkmale: die Trefferleistung ist erfüllt, wenn alle 5 Schuß in dem Trefferkreis liegen."

Basically the rifle has passed the shooting test if 5 shots hit the target but how can I say this more precisely in a legal document in English ?

THANKS in advance!

accuracy/circle
Explanation:
Something like "the accuracy requirement is met if all five shots are inside the circle".
As my answer to Alison's previous question shows, they're using a sight-in target, marked with a circle, to measure the gun's accuracy.

This accuracy is good. Not sure if "Trefferkreis" is only "circle" or "target circle". Heard from another translator it could be "group", i.e. the group of bullet holes, the width of which is used to measure accuracy.

hit probability / target circle

Explanation:
The design principle was to increase target hit probability by firing high rate multi-round bursts (salvos).

The terms of reference (specifications) were very general, calling for an improved infantry weapon with a better hit probability (Ph) than any then in existence,

The equations that describe the approximate relationships between range, accuracy, and the target circle, as used in this section, are as follows:

Notes to answerer
Asker: Hi Wendy, THANK YOU very much for your comments. I tried to give you some points for "target circle" too but it seems as if I can only award points to one answer.
