German term or phrase: Wirk- und/oder Zulassungsmodell
In the context of a paper on quality control aspects in herbal medicine, I am struggling to translate "Wirkmodell" and "Zulassungsmodell" as used in the following sentence:

Der Standard wird dabei in der Regel rückwirkend vom Qualitätsprofil des pharmakologisch geprüften Wirk- und/oder dokumentierten Zulassungsmodell abgeleitet.

So far I have a working version that reads as shown below, but I am not really satisfied that it hits the mark:

This standard is generally derived retrospectively from the quality profile generated by the pharmacologically tested effect concept and/or the approach documented for approval.

Grateful for any suggestions!

Nachdem jeweils unterschiedliche Adjektive zugeordnet sind würde ich die beiden Begriffe komplett separieren, etwa so:
"...pharmacologically tested mechanism of action/MOA model and/or the documented approval model..."

Resonse and/or approval model

Explanation:
"Response model" would probably be a better translation for "Wirkmodel". Another option would be "effect model" or"effectiveness model". It all has to do with how effective the application is.

"Zulassungsmodell" should be "approval model" Therefore we get: "response and approval model"
