German term or phrase: werden verdankt
Aspekte Clinical Review
Die eingereichten Unterlagen und Daten werden verdankt. Zur beantragten Indikationserweiterung wurden keine spezifischen Daten im Modul 2 eingereicht.

Above is the context. The phrase occurs in the first sentence of the section on Clinical Review. Is it simply thanking them for submitting data/docs - or is it the meaning of 'being due', or 'owed'? ie: The documents and data submitted are due? (How can they be submitted -in the past tense- and yet still due?)

I think this must be Swiss for acknowledging/thanking. So sorry I forgot to mention the source of the text as CH. Thanks to everyone for weighing in and giving their thoughts!

neutral  Raffael Mueller: That is not the real question here. Of course "jemandem verdanken" means "to thank someone for". But here in this context it's pure nonesense! :)

agree  Johanna Timm, PhD: often used in CH in the context of minutes: "Das Protokoll wurde verdankt" (und genehmigt).
