coherence/(sequencing) of thought
Explanation:
'Denkordnend' is not a proper German word (re-translation?) but this what it roughly means.

Thought process in the MSE refers to the quantity, tempo (rate of flow) and form (or logical* coherence) of thought*.

This is a 14-item research clinician-rated scale measuring psychosis (hallucinations, delusions, *incoherence of thought*), depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation during the past week.

This suggests that the pathology affecting the fronto-caudate-pallido-thalamofrontal 'cognitive loop' may indeed affect the *sequencing of thought* processes ..

I´d just omit *Bereich* at least for this term, because it does not provide any additional information.

Asker: It's a market research study, always incomprehensible ( in any language) :)

Asker: Your proposal wold work, too, but I opted for uyuni's suggested. And, btw, I think this time the text is DE German rather than Austrian :):) No wonder Veronika has never heard of it!
