Physician's Disclosure Requirement

Explanation:
In the US 'duty to' is rarely used. It is better to use 'requirement'

Example sentence(s):
  • A physician is required to disclose ....

doctor's duty to disclose

Explanation:
I suspect this might be the term of art we're looking for. See link below.

This sound like disclosure to me:
"Der Arzt ist dem Patienten zur umfassenden Aufklärung verpflichtet. Sie erschöpft sich nicht darin, den Patienten über Art, Umfang und Durchführung der geplanten Behandlung/Operation aufzuklären (sog. Verlaufsaufklärung)."
https://www.das.de/de/rechtsportal/patientenrecht/arztpflich...

PS: Online dictionaries are usually adequate to obtain the meaning, but not translation, of simple terms. But sometimes not even that. They certainly shouldn't be relied on for the translation of set or more complicated terms since the glossaries are typically not compiled by professionals.

"What is a Doctor's Duty to Disclose?

A doctor is required to disclose all relevant information regarding your medical treatment in order to allow you to make a decision about your own treatment. If a doctor fails to disclose pertinent information, he may be liable for medical malpractice. "

neutral  philgoddard: We don't have any context, but I can't find any evidence that it means to disclose
1 hr
  -> Well, aufklären means to divulge to patients what they really need to know and might not find out otherwise. By contrast, doctors could “inform” the heck out of patients without telling them anything that’s really relevant.

neutral  Steffen Walter: You wouldn't use 'disclose/disclosure' in this context. Patients need to give their 'informed' consent to be enrolled in trials, for example, so Donald's suggestion 'duty to inform' hits the nail on the head.
8 hrs
  -> No problem. Let's disagree.

neutral  Lirka: with Steffen, not in this context
8 hrs
  -> Same here.
