It was I who started making a sentence out of the 3 words in that 'staccato' rhythm. Then others, no doubt subliminally and subconciously, starting following suit.

Sorry I was actually trying to edit that but posted it instead! Basically I agree with Björn that this structure doesnt flow well in English so I'd make a sentence out of it and just try to express a similar idea/feeling.

I think I would definitely rewrite it, the structure just doesn't work in EN for a four star hotel. Round off the day/Get away from it all/switch off with/in...Relax and unwind etc. with a glass of wine/in good company/an inviting atmosphere-the start of something new

The one concern I have here is that the "staccato style" (pardon the pun) works well in German, but sounds a bit contrived in English, IMO. It's a four-star hotel in the midst of nature, not a club in Downtown Manhattan.

A few of the answerers have dealt with that by either creating a lengthier version or making one sentence out of three.

I actually intended to add another post soon and say that you're right about these words being "intertwined."

Haven't quite figured something out yet (my "creative grey matter" isn't better off today either), but it would help tremendously if Lesley could tell us how the sentence is going to continue. The wordplay doesn't end here. Geschichte spielen is actually part of it as well.

@Lesley bc of your recently added post: Actually, I do think that is the case here. But the wordplay is Einklang/Ausklang/spielen. "Begegnung" is an oft-used reference when it comes to music:

I was thinking about asking you to scrap the entire sentence and replace it with either a sports reference or a stage reference considering the "Geschichten spielen."

You may agree when I say that the main idea in marketing is not to have word-for-word translations, but to get the message across.

I don't think this has any reference to music at all. The hotel is in the mountains of Tyrol and the accompanying photos contain no allusions to music or instruments. These may be musical figures of speech, but in this case it's just a coincidence and should play a role in the translation. - shouldn't play a role is what I meant to write, of course

This is Austria, Vienna being the world's capital of classical music. So the musical figures of speech cannot simply be ignored (cf. Ramey R's ref. to the Beatles' 1960s White Album track of 'Come Together' in harmony!). NB Einstimmung around here means to tune a piano or fiddle.

Just to let you know, since you seemed a bit baffled by the word when you asked your other question:
"Einstimmung" is close to the expression "to get/enter into the spirit of things," although the German word may not share the "lively event" part of the English (as in Oxford: "Join wholeheartedly in an event, especially one of celebration and festivity.").

"Ausklang" is easier to explain as a verb: "to wind down" (as franglish and Ramey suggested; was the first thing to pop into my head as well).
