Social Sciences - History / Old Manuscript (15th century)

Anyone know how we say Kanzleifolio in English? Danke im Voraus!

Chancery paper
Explanation:
Duden gives:
Kanzleipapier:

Paper historian Neil Harris suggests that Chancery, or a similarly sized sheet, accounted for 90% of the paper produced after 1500 in Europe. There are a number of reasons why this makes sense from the papermaker's standpoint: The full sheet folded in half gives an agreeable folio size book;

Notes to answerer
Asker: Also great resources, thank you! Do you understand this as it was only used after 1500, or it became more widely used after 1500? As this manuscript is from 1448, I'd need to be careful. I may keep it in German with an English explanation in parentheses.
