agree  Esther Pugh: oder pay off their LOC balance (yes, you can pay a balance, even in full; doesn't need to be in "installments")
2 mins
  -> You can pay off a credit, but not the credit line = Man kan einen Kredit tilgen (zurückzahlen), aber nicht die Kreditlinie.

neutral  Ted Wozniak: with reduce or repay, but not restore
33 mins
  -> Ok, reduce a credit line and repay the credit by installments.

reset their drawn down credit lines

Explanation:
It's quite correct that "repayment" would be the action applied here, but that "zurückführen" refers to the end objective being pursued rather than the vehicle for getting there.
According to Duden:
"bewirken, dass sich etwas auf eine frühere Stufe zurückbewegt, einen früheren Zustand wieder erreicht"

For a little more dramatic effect, "rekindle" might also work for you....

ihre gezogenen Kreditlinien - wieder - zurückführen
to replenish (reinstate / recapitalise) their lines of credit drawn down

Explanation:
It is a pity the question of zurückführen did not incoporate the repeater of *wieder*. Otherwise, the logical fallacy of reducing or 'cleaning down' (Zahn) credit lines - that have already been drawn - might have stood out more clearly and Johannes G's might have refrained from reversing his answer of restoration to the opposite as a reduction.

Example sentence(s):
  • A line of credit (LOC) is an arrangement between a financial. The pool of available credit does not replenish after payments are made.
  • Replenishment of a Credit Card Line. Written by Brandy Bruyere, Vice President of Regulatory Compliance, NAFCU.
