German term or phrase: Ertragsrisiken müssen durch die erwartete Rendite angemessen prämiert werden.
Hello,

I'm translating an annual report from German to English and came across this sentence in the section about risk management - and am quite at a loss as to what to do with it.

I assume it means that the risk of not having enough income (income risk? income-related risk?) must be counterbalanced (for prämiert?) by the expected returns. Or could prämiert also be referring to some kind of insurance that needs to be made?

Not very well-versed in this area so would very much appreachiate any help on this!

many thanks,
Katherine

agree  philgoddard: I think you can leave out either "adequately" or "appropriate/commensurate", as you're saying the same thing twice.
