As seen above, tripping is initiated by electronic or other protecting controls and measuring devices, which are part of the installation, rather than the plant. Considering this fact, the German term "Trip der Anlage" is nonsense and shold be replaced by the corresponding protective device, e.g. "Überstromrelais", if overcurrent is monitored.
