The closest I can find for Rahmlinsen is "lentils in cream", but are these "bunten Rahmlinsen" some kind of multicoloured lentils, or what colour?

"Mixed" should work here to suggest the different colours/sorts (also avoids having to ditch the "u" from "colo(u)rful" for US readers!).

I have suggested "in a creamy sauce" rather than just "in cream" as this leaves the recipe more open for additional ingredients.

The problem with "creamed lentils" is that it infers purreed, so they would then be a brown mud.
I know of four colours for lentils. brown, red, green and black, so the tricolour won't work either.
