I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to phrase this in english as it is very "doppelgemoppelt".

I've used the term "hotel and catering industry" für Gastgewerbe and would otherwise translate this sentence as
"Established by the catering trade for the hotel and catering industry" but feel that the expressions are too close. I'm toying with "gastronomy sector" for "Gastronom" which would make "Established by the gastronomy sector for the hotel and catering industry" but unsure if there is enough differentiation there.

I think this sounds a little more upmarket than caterers if you need a term that denotes industry professionals.

If you're not talking about industry professionals, I would suggest connoisseurs.

Looking at this again I don't think they mean connoisseurs - it's more likely to be caterers or restaurateurs.

if this was a marketing kind of a text, which is what is sounds like, I'd write something like "created by expert/professional chefs for the hospitality trade" - as for gegründet, how you translate depends on what it refers to
