So you think " Daten" always means " date/dates " in this article, not " data"? It makes sense, because the problem is the date, not the data. The whole article is about the date, Y2K problem etc. date models sounds strange though. Any IT experts out there?

I already used " data" for " daten" earlier on in the text. This is the sentence right before my " data" sentence " Die schlechte Nachricht ist, dass diese Programme fuer viel unternehmen ganz zentrale Funktionen erfuellen und die zweistelligen Jahreszahlen oft in den Datenmodellen zementiert sind "
Translation :

I could not change " daten" to dates in this context correct? " date models"? It must be " data models"
