I meant to say "all things related to windows." As you can see from the referenced website, it seems to define itself in terms of width and breadth (die Parameter "Mitte" und "Breite").

'Windowing' is clearly going to be the favourite here: 'Fensterung' even sounds like it has been translated from English. The bilingual website quoted above (produkt_radin) is, however, from a firm based in Fürth, Germany. They too must have employed a translator...
The answer 'luminance adjustment' is based on the definition you provided.
