German term or phrase: Textlastigkeit
Kontext:

\'text heavy\' works well as an adjective form
\'text heaviness\' is a clumsy noun form so \'text overload\' might be preferable

THAT we consider merging Board Chair and City Librarian messages, and/or Foundation abbreviate all messages - including Foundation and Friends messages - to reduce the length and \'text-heaviness\' of the report;

Avoid Text Overload: Having too much text on a screen can defeat the purpose of using PowerPoint.

Give the students some background information to read (be careful not to make this too long or it will detract from the rest of the lesson; avoid text overload!).

agree  ENGSOL: I like *text-heavy* (adj) and *text overload* (noun) // *wordy websites* is still my personal favourite though ;-)

agree  Frosty: Text overload is a nice one

agree  Ken Cox: IMO rewording is strongly desirable to avoid the 'lastige' construction 'text-heaviness', but text-heavy and text overload are both good.
