Time slicing algorithms
Explanation:
There are no time slicing rules used in English, but, instead, time slicing algorithms. My point is easily proved by searching in Google for both "time slicing rules" (no hits) and "time slicing algorithms" (hits galore!). Incidentally, I come from a software / IT background, so, while I do not intend to blow my own trumpet, I certainly would like to help with facts as they are! In German, they could have said "Algorithmus /en", but then this would be correct if only they used the corresponding term for slicing, which is not the case. When you talk about controlling (i.e. Steuerung), then you usually associate it with a set of rules, which is why the german term is so much different from its english counterpart.
