To keep a long story short, here's my draft of the target text (UK English):

In regard to [German real estate GmbH & Co. KG]’s limited business activity as a ***Real Estate Limited Partnership (RELP) [or property management company?]***, we have, based on our risk-orientated approach to auditing, primarily done the auditing of individual business transactions on a sampling basis.

German statement by auditing firm/source:

Im Hinblick auf die eingeschränkte Geschäftstätigkeit der [German real estate GmbH & Co. KG] als ***Objektgesellschaft*** haben wir im Rahmen unseres risikoorientierten Prüfungsansatzes im Wesentlichen Einzelfallprüfungshandlungen auf der Basis von Stichproben durchgeführt.

Looking forward to hearing from you real estate or accounting Houdinis out there or from anyone else in our industry who can spare a few minutes on an admittedly for the most part slightly challenging auditing statement - but then, I guess, you don't get to choose much.
