Bij zupfmassage wordt steeds een stukje huid tussen duim en wijsvinger vastgenomen en "opgeplukt", opgetild. Geen elegant woord maar het is wel in gebruik. Het wordt toegepast om de huid elastisch te houden en de rekbaarheid te verhogen.

Explanation:
tapotage is 'ritmisch kloppen', dat is lijkt mij wat anders dan 'Zupf'.
Ik zou kiezen voor iets in de trant van 'het oplossen van blokkades' want dat is waar het om gaat.
Heb je misschien nog wat context?
