Nessun riferimento purtroppo per il termine richiesto che appare una sola volta in tutto il testo.

Ho scelto 'superiori' come traduzione perché mi sembra la più attinente al tuo contesto.
Un sinonimo di questo termine risulta essere 'patron', cioè 'padrone / principale' ed ho conosciuto quest'estate un cantante francese, intrattenitore dei clienti dei ristoranti di Dunkerque, che quando parlava del titolare di uno dei ristoranti che lo avevano assunto, lo chiamava ''mon patron'':
