Si parla dei pasti dei monaci nel medioevo.

L’essentiel du repas est donc constitué par le « général », portion individuelle de légumes, auquel s’ajoute parfois, la « pitance », mets plus recherché constitué de laitage ou de poisson, accordé aux moines pour les jours de fête.

Io lascerei in francese, ma vedi mai che qualche mente illuminata trovi un termine corrispondente in italiano! :-)
