Et voilà comment la Jordanie est devenue ce pôle de stabilité unique au Moyen-Orient. Cela lui permet de bénéficier du soutien diplomatique et financier des Occidentaux, ce qui constitue pour elle une véritable rente géopolitique. Depuis 2011, la guerre en Syrie et contre Daech ont encore renforcé ce rôle régional de la Jordanie.
Mais quelque-chose récemment a changé : depuis que Donald Trump retire ses troupes du Moyen-Orient, le roi Abdallah II, doit jouer les équilibristes entre ses différents protecteurs : américains, européens, saoudiens, et russes.
