Non so se indurimento ha senso in questo contesto:
Les composants réseaux tels les routeurs et les switches ne bénéficient pas d’une sauvegarde de leur configuration, celle-ci étant standard. Seul un durcissement de leur configuration est effectué lors de leur mise en place.

In pratica si tratta di un'operazione che riduce al minimo indispensabile il contenuto del pc (files ecc.) in modo da ridurre contestualmente la vulnerabilità e le possibilità di "attacco" informatico, il tutto mantenendo comunque le funzionalità di cui si ha bisogno.
