Cerco una parola per esprimere correttamente la parola in un titolo di un'opera. Credo che si riferisca al fatto che l'opera ha avuto diversi aspetti, nel senso che è stata dipinta e poi è stata rielaborata e la foto si riferisce alla seconda di queste modifiche, ma non sono sicura che sia questo il senso di "état", potrebbe essere anche quello di una seconda versione dell'opera, cioè di un secondo quadro. Che cosa ne pensate?

Esistono due versioni di questa opera: una più "basica"/quasi una base, uno schizzo e una seconda versione più "ricca" e più definita.
Penso quindi che "état" si riferisca a questo
