Per diversi minerali e materiali si parla di effetto "nuvolato" (ad es. la malachite nuvolata, pietra anch'essa dotata di sfumature, come il lapislazzuli )...Il termine "sfumato", è vero, suona meglio..ma anche la traduzione apparentemente più letterale (nuvolato) dovrebbe essere tecnicamente corretta.
