Das wäre mein Vorschlag für eine relativ freie Übersetzung. Da das Wort "cran" im französischen Text wohl hauptsächlich wegen des Reims eingesetzt wurde, halte ich es nicht für absolut notwendig, ein deutsches Äquivalent zu finden.
