A hotel offering what they describe as an authentic Perigord auberge atmosphere - hearty meals - local produce - etc.
The hotel is "middle of the road" *** and unpretentious.

I considered: "Keeping the authentic simple" "A passion for unassuming authenticity"? - The latter sounds awkward as a one-liner. Any better suggestions for something punchy and descriptive in this context? Thanks.

I think you need to keep the sentence as simple as possible, to reflect the impression you're trying to make. Other possibilities might include variations on "combining authenticity and simplicity" or "authentic and unpretentious" - in any case, your sentence would need to be unpretentious.
