Quadricycle
Explanation:
Following my entry in the discussion post before any answers had been posted (i.e. at 22.06 UK time), I now post up my suggestion (spelt with an "I" in line with the common spelling of "bicycle").

Although the "quad" part might limit the size a bit.//
And more:
"Michelle Williams and her adorable 4-year-old daughter, Matilda Ledger, take a fun quadricycle ride around Toronto, Canada with a few friends on Saturday (August 14)."

quadracycle

Explanation:
"There is no consensus amongst manufacturers of four-wheeled, human powered vehicles as to what this class of vehicles should be called, although quadracycle is the most commonly-used term."

agree  Michele Lemaire: But i would keep the name 'rosalie' because it is a quadracycle that you cam make yourself using 2 old bikes. By the way, I believe that the name comes from an old Citroen, a light-weight race car made in the 1930's

neutral  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: I prefer the spelling with an "i" rather than an "a", although there are sources for both. I guess that a "quadra" cycle makes me think of it being only allowed for the over-forties! That said, it's nice to have stuff just for us!

four-wheeled bicycle

Explanation:
I prefer this variant because there's no guessing as to what it is.

Although, if there are many repetitions, a shorter version like "quadracycle" would be nicer.

neutral  Sheila Wilson: Cycle, perhaps. But four and bi clash horribly

-> very true, but that contradiction is part of the concept.

neutral  Hal D'Arpini: "Four-wheeled bicycle" is like calling a tricycle a "three-wheeled bicycle." As Sheila says, the incongruent ideas clash horribly.

Quad tandem

Explanation:
A tandem is technically any (bi)cycle with two or more riders; just add your preferred prefix to designate the number of riders.

Some images (Google):

Four-wheeled bicycle is of course perfectly acceptable, but it's nice to know there is a "name" for this contraption in EN too.

Note added at 2 hrs (2012-07-09 23:39:33 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

Btw, quadracycle refers to the number of wheels, not riders, so it is NOT the same thing as a tandem or four-wheeled bicycle.

Note added at 2 hrs (2012-07-09 23:42:47 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

Sry, four-wheeled bicycle is not an acceptable synonym for a quad tandem, but a four-seater bicycle is.
