French to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Tourism & Travel / Guest Relations
French term or phrase:être dans le don
I'm struggling to find an appropriate translation for this phrase, which occurs several times within a Guest Relations training document for the employees of a luxury hotel.
Example: Les Employés doivent être dans le don envers le Client, de manière à emplir leur action et parole d’empathie et de considération.
Explanation: don in French has two different meanings : The first one is skill, talent or competence The second meaning is devotion but not in a religeous sense. être dans le don from my view would mean being devoted to clients as we are talking about Tourism
Thank you for all the wonderful ideas. I found this answer the most relevant to this expression, although others inspired me for other parts of the text. Thank you! 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
Explanation: ...just a suggestion. My first thought was "proactive", but I think that's too abrupt even though I think it gets across the kind of outgoing movement feeling that you need here.
