I'm struggling to find an appropriate translation for this phrase, which occurs several times within a Guest Relations training document for the employees of a luxury hotel.

Example:
Les Employés doivent être dans le don envers le Client, de manière à emplir leur action et parole d’empathie et de considération.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA.

The second meaning is devotion but not in a religeous sense.
être dans le don from my view would mean being devoted to clients as we are talking about Tourism

...just a suggestion. My first thought was "proactive", but I think that's too abrupt even though I think it gets across the kind of outgoing movement feeling that you need here.

agree  Evans (X): I think that works quite well. It's the idea of 'giving' and 'generosity'./ Perhaps 'put the customer's needs first' might be stronger. And I would be inclined to use 'guest' too. Even passengers get called customers now, vive la différence!

You often hear comments like this from satisfied customers:
