The most common term in EN for a dress that flows longer in the back than in the front is a "high-low dress." I've seen this described in FR as a "robe courte devant longue derrière," but I don't know how common the term is.

If I had a great image, I'd have figured it out earlier my self, but I think Gail is on to it - it seems to be a dress that flows longer in the back than in the front from what I have seen.

Peplum or flounce? I think it would be difficult to combine both on a single dress. Are you sure they are not talking about a series of dresses in the fashion show?
